For the purpose of offering fundamentat data to the development of medical delivery system, the author analysed the daily activities and time allocations of Public Health Doctors occupied Health Subcenters and Community Health Practitioners in Chungnam area, March 1 through the April 30, 1984.
Data was collected from 26 Public Health Doctors and 7 Community Health Practitioners.
The obtained results were as follows;
1. The average daily working hours was 6.7(range 6.9-7.6), but that was 4.2 on Saturday.
2. The average daily working hours by working place difference were own clinic 6.0, home visiting 0.5 and others clinic 0.2. Of the total 6.7 daily working hours, 3.2 was treatment activity, 2.9 was administrative activity and 0.6 was health service activity
3. The classification of diseases being treated were disease of respiratory system, digestive system, skin & cellular tissue, muscle & skeletal system, accident · poisoning & violence, infectious & parasitic disease in that order.
4. Average number of daily health service activity were tuberculosis control 4.8, child health4.2, health education & environmental sanitation 2.8, maternal health 2.5, but those of administrative activity were admintrative affair 10.3 and support work 9.0.
